WATERCOLORAMA
These folks were really working hard, but having fun at it too. At least that's what they all said. I sure had my share of fun, anyhow, and was gratified at how they just took the information and ran with it. We had all kinds of powerful paintings for the last 2 1/2 hour session, where everyone got to paint their own subject and not the dumb sketch the instructor handed out (Hey, it was't all about creating it was about understanding, ok?). I hope someday they all win awards because of the color in their paintings. Some are on their way to that now!
By the way - most of the work on the walls behind me is by my good friend Donna Frank, a terrific plein air artist who has graced Comma Gallery with her terrific interpretations for the last year. Take a good look and you can learn a lot from her technique and deep understanding of how to paint.
